Deloitte Donates CI$25,000 to R3 Cayman Foundation

Grand Cayman, 24 December 2020: R3 Cayman Foundation is pleased to accept a generous donation of CI$25,000 from Deloitte.

The donation will be matched by the Kenneth B. Dart Foundation for a total amount of CI$50,000.

In accepting the donation, R3 Chairman Bryan Hunter said: “R3 was established to help Cayman’s private sector leverage its strengths in support of our three islands’ readiness, relief and recovery in times of national emergency. In the spirit of the holidays, we are proud to accept this donation which will be used to help Cayman proactively prepare for, resiliently cope with and sustainably recover from future disasters.”

Deloitte Managing Partner Stuart Sybersma says the organisation is proud to support R3’s work in the local community.

“At Deloitte, we are led by our purpose to make an impact that matters for our clients, people and society. During 2020, like many of our industry colleagues, our staff and partners worked tirelessly to continue to serve our clients seamlessly, while looking after our people, and with a special focus of helping our community recover from the many challenges that the Cayman Islands – and the world – faced this year,” he says.

“In response to the increasing need for support derived from the pandemic, Deloitte has strengthened our existing community partnerships and established new, exciting ones. We are pleased to wrap up this year supporting R3 Cayman in their outstanding efforts to provide relief and fund the hard work of our local charities. We hope this contributes to a brighter start of 2021 for many in our community, and we look forward to continuing our commitment to make an impact that matters in the New Year.”
