R3 Chairman elected

Grand Cayman, 19 May 2020: The R3 Cayman Foundation, a private sector-led fund announced by His Excellency the Governor Martyn Roper, has appointed Bryan Hunter as its duly elected Chairman.

“I am pleased to announce that R3 Cayman Foundation is now formally incorporated as a Foundation Company and registered as a non-profit organisation,” Mr. Hunter said. “While we continue to finalise the infrastructure required to receive and distribute funds, our board of directors is working diligently to map the priority areas for COVID-19 related funding and hurricane preparedness.”

The board has established three main strategic committees corresponding with the Foundation’s key areas of focus: Readiness, chaired by Mr. Richard Hew; Relief, chaired by Mr. Woody Foster; and Recovery, chaired by Mrs. Joannah Bodden Small.

Additionally, the fundraising committee will be chaired by Mr. Chris Duggan, the marketing and public relations committee will be chaired by Mrs. Nicoela McCoy, and the finance committee will be chaired by Ms. Sheenah Hislop (who also serves as the Foundation’s Treasurer).
